2023 Roosevelt Reception

ConservAmerica held its annual reception to honor members of the Congressional Roosevelt Conservation Caucus on November 14 in Washington, DC. This year’s recipients of the Congressional Champions Award are Senator John Barrasso of Wyoming, Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina, Rep. Garret Graves of Louisiana’s 6th District, and Rep. John Curtis of Utah’s 3rd District. The award recognizes members for their commitment to advocating for innovative and commonsense environmental, energy, and conservation policies.

“The challenges ConservAmerica, and the Roosevelt Conservation Caucus, focus on every day – energy security, protecting the environment, conserving our natural resources for future generations – remain as important as ever,” said ConservAmerica President Jeff Kupfer. “We know that a strong, stable economy and a healthy, clean environment must go hand in hand. That’s why we were delighted to present our congressional leadership awards to Sen. Barrasso, Sen. Tillis, Rep. Graves, and Rep. Curtis this year. They have shown true leadership in this space, developing and advocating for strong policies while embracing the values and traditions that we all share. We thank them for their work on behalf of our country, and we thank our sponsors for supporting this event.”

ConservAmerica was pleased to be able to recognize our honorees in front of a wide audience that included many members of Congress, individuals, and organizations that are passionate about conservation.
