With more than two decades in environmental policy, Todd Myers’s experience includes work on a range of environmental issues, including climate policy, forest health, old-growth forests, and salmon recovery. A former member of the executive team at the Washington State Department of Natural Resources, he is a member of the Puget Sound Salmon Recovery Council.

He is the author of “Time to Think Small: How nimble environmental technologies can solve the planet’s biggest problems,” which outlines how small technologies are empowering people to protect threatened wildlife species, reduce CO2 emissions, and reduce ocean plastic. His previous book “Eco-Fads: How the Rise of Trendy Environmentalism Is Harming the Environment” documented how our environmental policies are driven by a desire to look good rather than to help the environment.

His writing has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, National Review, Seattle Times, and USA Today, and he has appeared on numerous news networks including CNBC, Fox News, the BBC, and CNN. He served as vice president of the Northwest Association of Biomedical Research and received their Distinguished Service Award in 2018 for his support of bioscience. He has also served as president of the Prescription Drug Assistance Foundation, a nonprofit providing medicines to low-income patients.

In 2021, Myers served as president of his local beekeeping club in his quest to build an army of stinging insects at his command. He has a bachelor’s degree in politics from Whitman College and a master’s degree in Russian/International Studies from the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington. He and his wife Maria live in the Cascade Mountains in Washington state with 200,000 honeybees, and he claims to make an amazing pasta carbonara and an incredible dirty vodka martini with blue-cheese-stuffed olives.

She was a George W. Bush Presidential appointee to the Kennedy Center Advisory Arts Board, a White House appointee to the Navy’s Advisory Subcommittee on Naval History, and a trustee for the Computer History Museum.

Ms. Hughes has been active in politics since 1980. She was elected to the SF Republican Central committee in 2005 and was the San Francisco GOP chairman from 2007 to 2008.

Hal Quinn has 40 years of experience in natural resource, energy and environmental law and policy. He served as president and chief executive officer of the National Mining Association (NMA), the national trade association that represents the U.S. mining industry.

Under his leadership NMA developed the internationally recognized CORESafety® a scalable safety and health management system for the mining industry and launched major minerals and energy public awareness and advocacy initiatives including Minerals Make Life®. During his tenure, NMA grew MINExpo International® into the world’s largest trade show for mining equipment, technology and services.

Quinn has appeared before House and Senate committees on more than 25 occasions to testify about a wide range of natural resource, energy, environmental and regulatory policy issues. His commentary has appeared in national and regional media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Washington Times, USA Today and the National Journal.

Quinn has served on the board of directors of various nonprofit organizations including the United States Energy Association, the National Energy Foundation and the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation. Andy Sabin does more than simply provide financial support to hundreds of organizations. He is actively engaged with community and environmental programs around the world. He spearheaded the building of a community recreation center in East Hampton, NY. As an extension of his life long fascination with reptiles and amphibians and dedication to environmental education, he founded the South Fork Natural History Museum in Bridgehampton and he continues to lead nature walks for the institution. (Mr. Sabin also participated in an expedition to Papua, New Guinea, that resulted in the discovery of a new species of frog that is named for him: Aphantophryne sabini.)

Mr. Sabin has served for several years on the environmental law advisory boards at Columbia Law School and UCLA School of Law, relationships that began through his role as treasurer of The Evan Frankel Foundation, which made grants of more than $17 million during its 15-year existence. Mr. Sabin is also proud to be a member of the board of visitors of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas since 2005.

In 2007, to provide more professional support for his philanthropy and involve his family in charitable giving, he established the Andrew Sabin Family Foundation.

Tony Kreindler is the founder and president of The Brookmont Group in Washington, D.C., where he utilizes his 30+ years of experience on behalf of his clients to create policy advocacy strategies related to energy, environment and natural resources. Tony previously spent more than a decade in senior and executive positions at Environmental Defense Fund and EDF Action, where he led bipartisan lobbying teams, high-impact stakeholder coalitions, and one of the country’s largest political independent expenditure programs.

Prior to joining EDF, Tony founded and served as chief executive officer of a next-generation business data service. He was also executive director of the Conservation Leadership Council, a coalition of former cabinet secretaries, CEOs, and public opinion leaders that advanced pragmatic, conservative-led policy at all levels of government. He has served as an environment and energy adviser to numerous political campaigns at the state and federal levels. Tonybegan his career as a reporter in Washington covering Congress and the executive branch. He is a member of the board of directors of the Coastal Conservation Association and a senior advisor to the American Conservation Coalition and Boundary Stone Partners.

Michael Ulica is the President and Chief Operating Officer at National Geographic Society. Previously, he served as the Society’s executive vice president, chief operating and financial officer, overseeing the Society’s financial, operational and administrative functions, including accounting, finance, planning, treasury and investments, human resources, legal, technology, facilities, and sustainability.

Ulica joined National Geographic in 2006 as the chief financial officer for National Geographic Ventures, the Society’s taxable subsidiary. He was named the Society’s deputy chief financial officer in 2012 and the chief financial officer in 2014.

Prior to this, he worked at Discovery Communications, where he spent 10 years in a wide range of financial roles, including Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Discovery’s Corporate Services Division and Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Consumer Productions Division. Before working at Discovery, Ulica spent 10 years with Time Life Inc., where he held management positions in finance and operations.

Nan Hayworth, M.D., is the only woman physician in history to be elected a voting Member of the House of Representatives, serving the 19th District of New York in the 112th Congress.

As a freshman Member of the House Majority, Nan was privileged to be assigned to the House Financial Services Committee; she also had the honor of being chosen by Speaker Boehner to serve on two House-Senate Conference Committees. She was recognized by environmental groups, including the Sierra Club, League of Conservation Voters, Defenders of Wildlife, and Wilderness Society, for her efforts to protect the environment.

Nan is a frequent guest on radio and television, the latter including regular appearances on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” MSNBC’s “MTP Daily,” and Fox News Channel’s 2016 election coverage.

A board-certified ophthalmologist, Nan practiced for 16 years in Mount Kisco, New York, before becoming a vice president and medical director at Cline Davis & Mann, a healthcare communications agency. Currently, she serves as a Strategic Business Development Advisor for Pilot Growth Equity. Nan sits on the boards of several nonprofits, and she is an inaugural member of the Princeton University Department of Politics Advisory Council.
