ConservAmerica Submits Comments on Proposed “Disclosure of Greenhouse Gas Emissions” Rule

ConservAmerica submitted comments to the General Services Administration this week on the Federal Acquisition Regulatory Council’s proposed rule on “Disclosure of Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Climate-Related Financial Risk.” The proposed rule, which is redundant in many ways to rules already in place, may place burdensome and unnecessary reporting requirements on American companies, stifling innovation and limiting competitiveness in the marketplace. Addressing climate change is among ConservAmerica’s highest priorities, however, we believe that the answer to today’s environmental challenges lie in commonsense, market-based solutions, and not onerous and repetitive regulations.
