Washington, DC – ConservAmerica leadership released the following statements today, following news of the passing of South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham:
ConservAmerica President Jeff Kupfer:
“Senator Graham was a co-founder of the bicameral Roosevelt Conservation Caucus back in 2019. He believed America’s greatest environmental achievements would come through innovation, free enterprise, and science-driven policymaking and consistently argued that protecting the environment and strengthening the economy could go hand in hand. It was an honor to work alongside him in this endeavor. We at ConservAmerica were shocked and saddened to hear of this untimely passing this morning. We join in grieving his passing and extend our heartfelt prayers and deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and colleagues, with gratitude for his lifetime of service to our nation.”
ConservAmerica President Emeritus Rob Sisson:
“Senator Lindsey Graham is being remembered this morning as a patriot, a leading voice for freedom and liberty. Rightly so, but I want to be sure one of his greatest legacies is not lost in the turmoil of current world conflict and conspiracies. Lindsey Graham was one of this generation’s great conservationists. He was a founding member of the Roosevelt Conservation Caucus and lead the effort to launch the U.S. Foundation for International Conservation. He dedicated his life to public service and his loss will be felt deeply. My prayers remain with his family during this difficult time. May God grant him eternal rest.”
ConservAmerica Founding Board Member Andy Sabin:
“Lindsey Graham was not only a founding member and the first chair of the Roosevelt Conservation Caucus, but he was also my good friend. He never hesitated to talk about the importance of conservation efforts and would often organize bipartisan dinners because he understood the value of bringing people from different political parties together to share a meal and have honest conversations. My heartfelt condolences go out to Lindsey’s family, friends, and colleagues. May his memory be a blessing.”
