ConservAmerica Joins Letter Urging President Trump Not to Restrict Diesel Exports

ConservAmerica joined with 27 other free-market groups to sign a letter led by the National Taxpayers Alliance (NTU) this week, urging President Trump not to restrict U.S. diesel exports. The letter argues that a ban could discourage production and investment in additional refining capacity.

Signatories instead call on Congress to tackle high fuel prices through broader permitting reform. Streamlining costly and time-consuming approval requirements could encourage construction of new refining capacity in the United States, where a major new refinery has not been built in decades.
