ConservAmerica Applauds “Make America Beautiful Again” Strategy

WASHINGTON, DC — ConservAmerica, a leading voice for conservative environmental stewardship, is proud to support the Make America Beautiful Again (MABA) strategy launched by the Make America Beautiful Again commission. This framework, recently unveiled by the U.S. Department of the Interior, outlines a long-term conservation vision that balances economic opportunity with responsible stewardship of our nation’s lands, waters, and wildlife.

“ConservAmerica stands behind the principles embodied in the Make America Beautiful Again 250 initiative,” said Jeff Kupfer, President of ConservAmerica. “This strategy reflects a commonsense approach to conservation that respects private property rights, expands outdoor recreation access, and strengthens the voluntary partnerships that sustain America’s natural heritage for future generations. The Make America Beautiful Again strategy carries forward Roosevelt’s vision for the 21st century and recognizes that conservation succeeds when it values hunters, anglers, landowners, and outdoor recreationists as partners in stewardship.”

ConservAmerica is especially hopeful that MABA 250 will help the push for Congress to reauthorize the Legacy Restoration Fund, which expires this year. This reauthorization will be crucial to addressing the growing maintenance backlogs on America’s public lands.

Key priorities of the MABA 250 strategy include:

  • A balanced approach to stewardship and economic growth, affirming that responsible resource development can reinforce conservation outcomes;
  • Expanded access to outdoor recreation on public lands, ensuring Americans of all backgrounds can enjoy the natural beauty that defines this nat
  • Strengthened voluntary conservation efforts, leveraging private initiative and partnerships to sustain wildlife, healthy forests, and resilient ecosystems;
  • Streamlined policies that cut bureaucratic red tape, promoting more efficient conservation work without sacrificing environmental quality;
  • A commitment to species recovery and habitat support, reflecting a shared goal of protecting biodiversity across the American landscape.
