Dan Sullivan was sworn in as Alaska’s eighth United States Senator on January 6, 2015. Sullivan serves on four Senate committees vital to Alaska: the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee; the Armed Services Committee; the Environment and Public Works Committee; and the Veterans’ Affairs Committee. Sullivan also currently serves as the Chairman of the International Republican Institute. Prior to his election to the U.S. Senate, Sullivan served as Alaska’s Attorney General and Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Natural Resources. As Alaska’s Attorney General, Sullivan’s number one priority was protecting Alaskans, their physical safety, financial well-being, and individual rights – particularly Alaska’s most vulnerable. During his tenure he spearheaded a comprehensive statewide strategy – the “Choose Respect” campaign – to combat Alaska’s high rates of domestic violence and sexual assault. Under Sullivan’s leadership, the Department of Law also undertook an aggressive strategy of initiating and intervening in litigation aimed at halting federal government overreach into the lives of Alaskans and their economy. As Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Sullivan managed one of the largest portfolios of oil, gas, minerals, renewable energy, timber, land, and water in the world. Working closely with Alaska’s Governor and state legislature, Sullivan developed numerous strategies that spurred responsible resource development, energy security, and a dramatic increase in good-paying jobs across a number of critical sectors in the Alaska economy. He also developed a comprehensive plan to streamline and reform the state’s regulatory and permitting system. Sullivan is one of a select number of Alaskan attorneys who has held judicial clerkships on both the highest federal and state courts in Alaska. He served as a judicial law clerk for Judge Andrew Kleinfeld of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in Fairbanks, Alaska and for Chief Justice Warren Matthews of the Alaska Supreme Court in Anchorage, Alaska. Sullivan also served as a judicial law clerk/intern for Judge James L. Buckley on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. In July 2013, Sullivan was recalled to active duty to serve with a Joint Task Force in Afghanistan focusing on dismantling terrorist networks and criminalizing the Taliban insurgency. Sullivan served in the Administration of President George W. Bush as the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy, and Business under Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. He focused on fighting terrorist financing, and implementing policies relating to international energy, economic, trade, finance, transportation, telecommunications, and Arctic issues. Sullivan also served as a Director in the International Economics Directorate of the National Security Council staff at the White House. Sullivan earned a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University in 1987 and a joint law and Masters of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in 1993. For nearly 30 years, Darline Graham has served her home state of South Carolina. Long before she took the oath as the state’s first female senator, she ran programs that helped South Carolinians with disabilities find employment, provide for their families, and live independently. Darline, who is fiercely protective of taxpayer dollars, helped turn around a struggling state agency known for inefficiency. At the Commission for the Blind, she led 130 employees in 10 offices and oversaw a $90 million budget. In her previous roles, she helped South Carolinians find jobs through her work at the state’s vocational rehabilitation agency and Department of Employment and Workforce. Darline has devoted her life to helping people find dignity through work – enabling them to contribute to society and support their families. That’s not political experience. It’s something more meaningful: serving South Carolinians – and serving them well.

John Thune grew up in Murdo, South Dakota. His interest in politics was sparked at a young age after making five of six free throws during a freshman high school basketball game. He was later greeted by a spectator who said, “I noticed you missed one.” That spectator happened to be a well-known sports enthusiast and then-South Dakota U.S. Rep. Jim Abdnor. The introduction was the start of a friendship that ignited John’s career in public service. John received his undergraduate degree at Biola University and his master’s degree in business administration from the University of South Dakota. Upon completion of his master’s degree in 1984, he married Kimberley Weems, a native of Doland, South Dakota. John’s attraction to public service took him to Washington, D.C., to work for that sports enthusiast and then-U.S. Sen. Jim Abdnor. He then served at the Small Business Administration under an appointment from President Ronald Reagan. In 1989, John and his family returned to South Dakota, where he served as the executive director of the South Dakota Republican Party. In 1991, then-Gov. George S. Mickelson appointed him to be state railroad director, a position he held until 1993, when he became executive director of the South Dakota Municipal League. In 1996, with a shoestring budget and the support of family and friends, John won his first term as South Dakota’s lone member of the U.S. House of Representatives. John was re-elected to a second term by the largest margin in South Dakota history. He returned again to Washington in 2001 to serve his third term in the House. John then honored his 1996 campaign pledge to serve only three terms in the House. After a narrow loss in a U.S. Senate race in 2002, he won his current Senate seat in 2004, when he made history by defeating a sitting Senate party leader for the first time in 52 years. In 2010, John was elected to serve a second term in the Senate in a rare unopposed race. He was only the third Republican and the only South Dakotan to run unopposed for the Senate since direct elections were created in 1913. John was elected to a third term in 2016. In 2022, John became the second South Dakotan in history to be elected to a fourth term in the U.S. Senate. For the 119th Congress, John serves on the Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee; the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee; and the Finance Committee. He also serves as the Senate Majority Leader, and has previously served as the Senate Republican Whip from 2019-2024, chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee from 2009–2011, and chairman of the Senate Republican Conference from 2012-2018. In his free time, John enjoys spending time with his family, pheasant hunting, and running.

He is the first Republican to hold this Senate seat in his lifetime. He serves on the Armed Services, Environment and Public Works, Veterans Affairs, and Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committees. Cramer has had a distinguished career in public service. In 2003, then-Governor John Hoeven appointed Cramer to the Public Service Commission, and in 2004 he was elected to the position. He worked to ensure North Dakotans enjoy some of the lowest utility rates in the United States, enhancing their competitive position in the global marketplace. An energy policy expert, Cramer understands America’s energy security is integral to national and economic security. A strong advocate for the free market system, Cramer has a proven record of cutting and balancing budgets encouraging the private sector through limited, common sense regulations and limited government. Cramer has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, a Master’s degree in Management from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota, and was conferred the degree of Doctor of Leadership, honoris causa, by the University of Mary on May 4, 2013. From growing up in Glen Dale in the Northern Panhandle, to representing the 2nd Congressional District from the Ohio River up to the Eastern Panhandle, to raising her family in Charleston, Shelley knows the ins and outs of every region of the state. Early in life, Shelley saw how her father, Governor Arch Moore Jr., instituted changes to improve West Virginia—building up not only infrastructure and the economy but also families and state pride. It’s that mindset that inspires her work today. Shelley first dedicated her professional life to serving students, working as a college counselor and advisor at West Virginia State College (now University). She worked closely with first-generation college students, fueling her passion for providing life-changing opportunity for all West Virginians. Shelley also served as director of the Educational Information Center for the West Virginia Board of Regents, helping to advise higher education policy for the state. Her work there only sharpened her skills to turn policy on paper to tangible results. While raising three kids, Shelley became more involved in her local community, representing Kanawha County in the West Virginia House of Delegates. In 2000, she was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, where she worked to spur growth by supporting community banks and freeing up capital to rural communities. She also worked extensively to expand transportation infrastructure throughout the state, most notably along Route 35. After seven terms representing the Second Congressional District, she ran for the United States Senate, hoping to be a stronger voice for the Mountain State and to restore order to a Senate stuck in gridlock for far too long. Shelley is the first female Senator in West Virginia’s history and was elected with the largest margin of victory for a Republican in state history in 2020—winning more than 70 percent of the vote and all 55 counties, surpassing the previous mark she set in 2014 when she won more than 62 percent of the vote and all 55 counties. Tim is proud to serve as Montana’s Junior United States Senator, continuing his life of service to the nation. He is a husband, father of four, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and combat veteran. Tim’s first job was working construction in high school and volunteering with his local fire department, where he learned the value of hard work and service to the community. After high school, Tim entered in the U.S. Naval Academy at age 18, joining the class of 2008. While at the Naval Academy, Tim rowed on the varsity crew team and was privileged to be selected for the U.S. Army Special Operations Exchange program, where he spent over a year attached to Army Special Operations Command completing Airborne School, Ranger Regiment Indoctrination Training, Ranger School, and joint tours with the 75th Ranger Regiment and 5th Special Forces Group. Upon graduation from the Naval Academy, Tim completed SEAL Training and was assigned to an East Coast-based Naval Special Warfare Unit, deploying on his first operational assignment just days after receiving his SEAL Trident. During his time as a Navy SEAL Officer and Team Leader, Tim was privileged to lead Americans into battle in various operational theaters around the world. His operational experience includes Officer in Charge of Bravo Platoon, SEAL Team TWO, during a highly kinetic combat deployment to Eastern Afghanistan in 2012, where he and his Joint Combined special operations team conducted counterinsurgency operations in remote parts of Afghanistan. During this deployment, he and his unit saw heavy combat and were recognized as one of the most effective special operations teams in the entire theater. Tim also conducted two combat deployments in support of a classified Joint Task Force conducting high-value target capture/kill raids across Iraq and Afghanistan. During one of Tim’s deployments, he was embedded alongside the 101st Airborne Division in the Kunar and Nuristan provinces of Afghanistan, where he assisted them with coordination for sensitive hostage rescue and targeting operations across the region. On a separate deployment, he served alongside his Army Special Operations counterparts as part of an urban strike force in Baghdad, Iraq. Although most of Tim’s operational experience was in the CENTCOM AOR, he also led a small SEAL Team to the jungles of South America for a combined interoperability deployment where US and Foreign Special Operations forces worked together to train and target narcotics and terrorist cells operating in the region. After his counterinsurgency and counterterrorism experience, Tim was assigned to a specialized undersea command, SDVT-1, where he became a certified mini-submarine pilot and navigator, organizing and leading some of America’s most specialized operators on sensitive missions of national importance. During this time, he gained experience with the impressive array of American undersea capability and deployed in support of critical national mission priorities. Overall, Tim completed several deployments and hundreds of missions and was twice decorated for Valor in Combat. Tim’s military decorations include the Bronze Star with Valor for Heroism in Combat, Purple Heart Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal with Valor, Army Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Ranger Tab, and other individual unit awards. Tim was wounded and injured in the line of duty and subsequently left active duty in 2014, when he started his businesses with the vision of bringing some of the technological capability he observed during his military service to the civilian world to better protect Americans from public safety threats like wildfire. Tim founded Bridger Aerospace in his barn with all his savings and an all-veteran founding team. From two guys in a barn in 2014, the Bridger enterprise of companies grew to employ over 500 personnel on multiple continents by 2024. Always leading from the front, Tim served as a line pilot for Bridger, flying as a carded Air Attack and Water Bomber pilot across the American West for over a decade. Tim remains an FAA Certified Commercial Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor. Due to his experience working alongside wildland firefighters and seeing the disparity in treatment for these brave first responders, Tim cofounded the Montana Firefighters Fund, a charitable organization built specifically to support the families of fallen and injured wildland firefighters. Tim and his team spun various companies out of the Bridger Aerospace family, most notably Ascent Vision Technologies (AVT) which began independent operations in 2016. AVT specialized in sensor development for infrared and electro-optic camera systems and was one of the pioneers for automated onboard video processing software. By 2020, AVT had led the development of the MADIS family of Counter UAS air defense systems, which were utilized across the US Military. Ascent Vision Technologies was acquired by CACI in 2020. Tim was also the co-founder of Little Belt Cattle Company, a veteran-led ranch and beef company that raises Montana beef. He and his wife are proud to raise their children in the agricultural community where they learn the value of food security to our communities and our nation. Tim met his amazing wife, Carmen, at the U.S. Naval Academy. Carmen graduated as a Marine Corps Officer and served deployments in Afghanistan and Asia. She is Tim’s best friend, a homeschool leader, and mother to their four beautiful children. Carmen and Tim decided to upend their lives and enter politics in 2023 after their shared devastation about the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. As one of relatively few couples who both served in the war, they were heartbroken to see American citizens and allies abandoned and our promises broken so haphazardly. It was a turning point for them, and they are proud to serve once again.
