Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick (R-PA) introduced HR 139, The Udall-Eisenhower Wilderness Act to permanently protect a portion of the coastal plain in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
Rep. Scott Tipton (R-CO) introduced HR 1839, The Hermosa Creek Watershed Protection Act, which would protect 38,000 acres as wilderness and 70,000 acres as a special management area.
Rep. Mike Simpson (R-ID) introduced HR 145, The Central Idaho Economic Development and Recreation Act, which would protect more than 333,000 acres of snowy mountain peaks and lake-filled terrain in the Boulder-White Clouds Mountains.
Rep. Dan Benishek (R-MI) introduced HR 163, The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Conservation and Recreation Act, which would designate more than 32,000 acres as wilderness.
Rep. Mark Amodei (R-NV) introduced HR 433, The Pine Forest Range Recreation Enhancement Act, which would protect 26,000 acres of wilderness.
Sen. Dean Heller (R-NV) introduced S. 159, The Lyon County Economic Development and Conservation Act, which would designate 48,000 acres of wilderness.
Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) and Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) introduced S. 1294, The Tennessee Wilderness Act to protect 20,000 acres in that state’s Cherokee National Forest.
Rep. Dave Reichert (R-WA) introduced HR 361, The Alpine Lakes Wilderness Additions and the Pratt and Middle Fork Snoqualmie Rivers Protection Act, which would protect 22,000 acres of wilderness and nearly a combined 40 miles of Wild and Scenic Rivers.
