Presidents Day–Who’s the Greenest?

Corporate Knights polled environmental organizations in 2012 to create a list of the greenest U.S. presidents. The report can be read here.

The top two names on the list? Republicans, of course! Theodore Roosevelt and Richard Nixon.

Some others list George W. Bush because of his personal interest in energy efficiency and sustainability, and his protection of marine ecosystems. Others list Ronald Reagan because he pushed through the Montreal Protocol, preventing the release of more greenhouse gases than any other act.

Who are your top green Republican presidents?
