President Roosevelt learns his Christmas tree ban was vetoed by his children!
President Theodore Roosevelt, an avowed conservationist forbid Christmas trees at the White House as a small and symbolic nod to sustainability of U.S. forests. However, his children surprised the president by hiding a tree in a sewing room closet. December 1903.
